Iasi is extremely rich in religious monuments of all ages, from the Middle Ages (the \u2018embroidered\u2019 Church of the Three Hierarchs) to the modern times (the Metropolitan Church).<\/p><p>You may also want to visit the beautiful\u00a0<strong>sites around the city<\/strong>\u00a0(Ciric lake and forest; Birnova, Bucium and Poieni Forests).<\/p><p>But most of all, make sure to take a trip to the famous chain of\u00a0<strong>monasteries in Northern Moldavia<\/strong>. Most of them are painted monasteries dating back to the 15th \u2013 16th centuries.
