General Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The following may apply for selection:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>students enrolled in full-time \/ distance learning \/ part-time education at the &#8220;Alexandru Ioan Cuza&#8221; University of Ia\u0219i, Romanian citizens, citizens of other states participating in the Erasmus+ Program, or citizens of states other than those participating in the Erasmus+ Program;<\/li>\n    <li><strong>students in their <u>1st, 2nd<\/u><\/strong>, or <strong><u>3rd year of undergraduate studies<\/u><\/strong> (at faculties where undergraduate studies last 4 years) and <strong>1st-year Master&#8217;s students<\/strong>;<\/li>\n    <li><strong>PhD students in their <u>1st, 2nd, or 3rd year, including those in the extension period<\/u><\/strong>, for mobilities carried out until the date of the public defense of the doctoral thesis;<\/li>\n    <li><strong>students and PhD students in <u>final years<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 only for study mobility selections that take place within the same academic year as the selection process;<\/li>\n    <li>former beneficiaries of a study or traineeship mobility in previous generations of Socrates, LLP-Erasmus, and\/or Erasmus+ programs, only if they meet the above-mentioned criteria and <strong>provided that the total duration of the mobilities (Socrates\/LLP-Erasmus and Erasmus+) does not exceed 12 months per study cycle.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Notes!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>Students wishing to apply for selection who previously benefited from a study mobility for which exam grades were not sent by the date of selection shall present the academic results obtained prior to their departure on the Erasmus mobility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n    <li>A student may benefit from Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobilities at each level of study (Bachelor&#8217;s, Master&#8217;s, Doctorate), totaling a maximum of 12 months of mobility (study + traineeship) per level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>B. Academic Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>To be eligible for a long-term study mobility, students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>have an ECTS score at the time of selection of at least 70% of the maximum score, with the exception of 1st-year\/1st-semester students (for whom the admission average\u2014minimum 8\u2014at the current study cycle will be considered) and students enrolled in integrated study programs (for whom the admission average to the respective study program will be considered, the minimum average being the same as the minimum admission average established within the partnership organizing the program);<\/li>\n    <li>obtain at least a grade of 7 in the interview held during the faculty-level selection process;<\/li>\n    <li>attest to proficiency in the language of study at the university for which they are applying through one of the following documents:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ol>\n    <li>language certificate<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>;<\/li>\n    <li>high school transcript (for candidates who studied a foreign language during high school years);<\/li>\n    <li>language proficiency certificate obtained at the Baccalaureate exam;<\/li>\n    <li>transcript related to university studies, for students who have the language of study from the partner university as a specialization or as a language of instruction within their university studies;<\/li>\n    <li>academic record related to university studies, according to the candidate&#8217;s option and depending on the foreign language studied, in exceptional cases and only with the approval of the selection committee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>The arithmetic mean of high school grades, the university studies average, or the minimum accepted score (for a minimum B1 level) must be equal to 80% of the maximum grade or score (e.g., min. grade 8\/10, 16\/20, or &#8220;Good&#8221; in the case of qualifiers).<\/p>\n\n<p>An exception is made for internationally recognized certificates (such as DELF, DALF, Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, Goethe), obtained for a minimum B1 level, for which any score is accepted.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Calculation Method for the ECTS Score:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>To calculate the ECTS score, the results obtained by candidates in the completed semesters of the study cycle in which they are enrolled at the time of selection are considered. The calculation is as follows: the sum of ECTS points for the semesters completed until the selection (A) divided by the maximum ECTS points for that period (B): Ax100\/ B.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> If you do not already have a language certificate, several possibilities for taking a test in Ia\u0219i are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>French Cultural Institute Ia\u0219i, 26 Carol I Blvd. (French);<\/li>\n    <li>German Cultural Center Ia\u0219i, 38 Lasc\u0103r Catargi St. (German);<\/li>\n    <li>Foreign Language Center of the Faculty of Letters;<\/li>\n    <li>EuroEd Ia\u0219i, 1C Florilor St. (English, French, Italian, Spanish).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"e-n-tab-content-7658977665\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-tab-title-7658977665\" data-tab-index=\"5\" style=\"--n-tabs-title-order: 5;\" class=\" elementor-element elementor-element-190014bd e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"190014bd\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4a7ff8a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4a7ff8a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><strong><u>Documents Required for the Application File<\/u><\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n<p>To evaluate the fulfillment of the above conditions, the application file must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Formular-de-candidatura-SMS-lunga-durata-Erasmus-DI.docx\"><strong>Application Form<\/strong><\/a> <em>\u2013 which shall include:<\/em>\n        <ul>\n            <li>Motivation (candidate&#8217;s mobility options, list of courses, reasons for participating in the selection for a study mobility at a specific university \u2013 concrete objectives pursued by the candidate and expected results);<\/li>\n            <li>Proposed semester for the mobility;<\/li>\n            <li>Declaration regarding the maximum number of Erasmus+ mobility months a student can benefit from during the study cycle in which they are enrolled at the time of application;<\/li>\n            <li>Information note regarding the processing of personal data.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n    <\/li>\n    <li><strong>Curriculum Vitae<\/strong> (will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Recommendation from the PhD supervisor, in the case of doctoral students<\/strong>;<\/li>\n    <li>Language certificate \/ high school transcript \/ language proficiency certificate obtained at the Baccalaureate exam \/ academic record for university studies in the foreign language studied or the study program for those studying in a foreign language (a copy will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n    <li>Transcript of records for the study cycle in which the candidate is enrolled at the time of selection. <strong>This document shall not be requested by the candidates<\/strong>; it will be issued by the faculty secretariat (only with the faculty&#8217;s signature) and attached to the file by the Erasmus coordinator;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Additional documents for students who do not hold citizenship of an EU member state:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>A copy of the residence permit \u2013 students of Moldovan citizenship enrolled at UAIC \u2013 B\u0103l\u021bi and Chi\u0219in\u0103u Extensions are exempt from this requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The documents shall be written in Romanian, with the exception of point (b), which shall be presented in the language of study of the university\/universities for which the candidate opts.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Incomplete files will be declared rejected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Calculation Method for the Selection Average:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n    <li>Academic results \u2013 <strong>50%<\/strong> of the score;<\/li>\n    <li>Language skills \u2013 <strong>30%<\/strong> of the score;<\/li>\n    <li>Interview \u2013 <strong>20%<\/strong> of the score.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"e-n-tab-content-7658977666\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-tab-title-7658977666\" data-tab-index=\"6\" style=\"--n-tabs-title-order: 6;\" class=\" elementor-element elementor-element-43881856 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"43881856\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a82dfd4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a82dfd4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong>Erasmus grant top-up:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>For students with fewer opportunities, the Erasmus+ grant is topped up by 250 Euro\/month;<\/strong> in accordance with the Program Guide and the 2024 National Call, a participant with fewer opportunities is one who falls into one or more of the following categories:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">a) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/strong> a student who receives a social scholarship or who qualifies\/meets the conditions to benefit from a social scholarship granted by the higher education institution where they are enrolled, according to Ministerial Order ME 4957\/2025 (which amended Order 6463\/2023);<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">b) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[2]<\/a><\/strong> a student who is an orphan of one or both parents;<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">c) a student coming from a single-parent family (due to death, disappearance, incarceration of the other parent, or non-recognition on the birth certificate);<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">d) a student who falls into the &#8220;first-generation student&#8221; category (meaning they do not already hold a bachelor&#8217;s degree and their parents have not obtained a university degree, but they may have siblings who are already students \/ have already graduated);<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">e) a person with a disability (including physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments) or health problems (including severe illnesses, chronic illnesses, or any other situation related to physical or mental health that prevents participation in the program);<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">f) a person whose family did not achieve an average monthly net income per family member higher than the national minimum net basic salary in the 12 months prior to submitting the supporting documents;<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">g) a person of Roma ethnicity;<\/span><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">h) a person with refugee status.<\/span><br><br>\n\n<strong>!!! The Erasmus+ grant top-up also applies to students of a nationality other than Romanian, students enrolled on tuition-fee spots, and students attending part-time\/distance learning forms of education, who are selected for mobility and who fall into one of the categories described above.<\/strong><br><br>\n\n<strong>!!! Files submitted in the 2024-2025 academic year under criteria b, c, d, e, g, and h of this document, and considered eligible, are valid for the entire duration of the study cycle in which the student is enrolled and do not need to be submitted again during that cycle. Files submitted based on financial criteria (point f) must be submitted annually, in the study year in which the Erasmus+ mobility takes place.<\/strong>\n\n<ul>\n    <li><strong>For students using sustainable means of transport \u2013 &#8220;green travel&#8221;<\/strong> (bicycle, bus, car-pooling, and train), if these were used for the majority of the round trip (more than 50% of the distance calculated according to the European Commission&#8217;s distance calculator), the Erasmus+ grant is topped up as follows:\n        <ul>\n            <li><strong>the travel grant corresponding to the &#8220;green travel&#8221; category is awarded<\/strong> (according to the table above)<\/li>\n            <li><strong>the amount for up to 4 days<\/strong> (outside the mobility period) is awarded, if applicable, for the round-trip travel.<\/li>\n        <\/ul>\n    <\/li>\n    <li><strong>For participants with special needs<\/strong>, whose physical, mental, or health condition is such that participation in mobility is not possible without additional support, who require a preparatory visit, or who require a companion during the mobility, the Erasmus grant is topped up with amounts awarded based on real costs, depending on needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/strong> The evaluation of social scholarship files for ERASMUS+ students is carried out throughout the entire academic year at the level of the faculty where the student is enrolled.<br><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[2]<\/a><\/strong> A file is submitted for only one category. A student can benefit from only one Erasmus+ grant top-up per mobility.<\/span><br><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">The file must be submitted physically to the <strong>Scholarships and Social Issues Department<\/strong> (<u>Address<\/u>: 7 Gheorghe Asachi St., Codrescu Campus, Dormitory C12, room 4, <u>Public Hours<\/u>: 8:00 \u2013 16:00, lunch break: 12:30 \u2013 13:00), ideally before bringing the documents to the Erasmus+ Department.<\/span><br><br>\n\n<span lang=\"EN\">!!!! Participants who wish to request additional financial support for special needs must discuss these aspects with the Erasmus+ Department representatives when preparing their mobility documents.\n<br><br>\nThe documents required to request a special needs top-up are:\n<br><br>\n\u2013 a request addressed to the home institution specifying the mobility details, requesting the grant top-up for the total amount needed, explaining the nature of the needs, the types of planned expenses, and the corresponding amounts;\n<br><br>\n\u2013 a copy of the participant&#8217;s disability certificate valid for the duration of the mobility and issued by an authorized institution;\n<br><br>\n\u2013 copies of other documents supporting the participant&#8217;s request may also be attached (for example: if treatment costs are to be covered, a medical referral or letter from a doctor indicating the need for treatment during the mobility should be included);\n<br><br>\nThe university will draft an official letter to the National Agency including details about the project for which the special needs top-up is requested, details about the participant&#8217;s mobility, and the request to supplement the grant with the total necessary amount.\n<br><br>\nPhotocopies of the documents submitted by a participant and the official letter are sent by the university in electronic format, via email, to the project expert within the National Agency. Upon receipt, the National Agency will analyze the case and send an official response to the university. If the request is approved, the National Agency will issue an addendum for the supplementation of funds for the project in question.\n<br><br>\nThe additional funds are allocated to the participant based on the financial agreement signed by the university and the participant.
