General Criteria:<\/strong>\n\nThe following may apply for selection:\n<ul>\n \t<li>students enrolled in full-time\/ distance learning\/ part-time education at the &#8220;Alexandru Ioan Cuza&#8221; University of Ia\u0219i, Romanian citizens, citizens of other countries participating in the Erasmus+ Program, or citizens of countries not participating in the Erasmus+ Program;<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>students in <u>the 1st, 2nd<\/u><\/strong><u>, or<strong> 3rd year of Bachelor&#8217;s studies <\/strong>(at faculties where Bachelor&#8217;s studies last 4 years) and <strong>1st year Master&#8217;s students<\/strong><\/u>;<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>PhD students in <u>the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year, including those in the extension period<\/u><\/strong> for mobilities carried out until the date of the public defense of the doctoral thesis;<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>students and PhD students in <u>terminal years<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 only for selection for study mobilities that take place in the same academic year in which the selection occurs;<\/li>\n \t<li>former beneficiaries of a study or traineeship mobility in previous generations of Socrates, LLP-Erasmus and\/or Erasmus+ programs, only if they meet the above-mentioned criteria and <strong>provided that the total duration of the mobilities (Socrates\/LLP-Erasmus and Erasmus+) does not exceed 12 months per study cycle.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>Notes!<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Students who wish to apply and have previously benefited from a study mobility for which the exam grades have not been sent by the date of selection, will present the academic results from before departing for the Erasmus mobility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>A student can benefit from Erasmus+ study and traineeship mobilities at each level of studies (Bachelor, Master, PhD), totaling a maximum of 12 months of mobility (study + traineeship) per level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>B. Academic Criteria:<\/strong>\n\nTo be eligible for a long-term study mobility, students must:\n<ul>\n \t<li>have an ECTS score at the time of selection of at least 70% of the maximum score, with the exception of 1st year students, 1st semester (for whom the admission average will be considered \u2013 minimum 8 \u2013 for the study cycle in which they are enrolled) and students enrolled in integrated study programs (for whom the admission average for the respective study program will be considered, the minimum average being the same as the minimum admission average established within the partnership organizing the program);<\/li>\n \t<li>obtain at least grade 7 in the interview held during the selection process at the faculty;<\/li>\n \t<li>attest knowledge of the language of study at the university for which they are applying through one of the following documents:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n \t<li>language certificate<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>;<\/li>\n \t<li>high school transcript (for candidates who studied a foreign language during high school);<\/li>\n \t<li>language proficiency certificate obtained at the Baccalaureate exam;<\/li>\n \t<li>transcript of records for university studies, in the case of students who have the language of study from the partner university as a specialization\/ as the language of instruction within their university studies;<\/li>\n \t<li>academic record for university studies, according to the candidate&#8217;s option and depending on the foreign language studied, in exceptional cases and only with the approval of the selection committee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nThe arithmetic mean of high school grades, the average for university studies, or the minimum accepted score (for a minimum B1 level) must be equal to 80% of the maximum grade or score (e.g.: min. grade 8\/10, 16\/20 or &#8220;good&#8221; in the case of qualifiers).\n\nExceptions are internationally recognized certificates (such as DELF, DALF, Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, Goethe), obtained for a minimum B1 level, for which any score is accepted.\n\n<strong>ECTS Score Calculation Method<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\n\nTo calculate the ECTS score, the results obtained by the candidates in the completed semesters of the study cycle in which they are enrolled at the time of selection are taken into account, and the calculation is as follows: the sum of ECTS scores for the semesters completed until the time of selection (A) reported to the maximum ECTS score for that period (B): Ax100\/ B.\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> If you do not already have a language certificate, several possibilities for taking a test in Ia\u0219i are:\n<ul>\n \t<li>French Cultural Institute Ia\u0219i, 26 Carol I Blvd. (French);<\/li>\n \t<li>German Cultural Center Ia\u0219i, 38 Lasc\u0103r Catargi St. (German);<\/li>\n \t<li>Foreign Language Center of the Faculty of Letters;<\/li>\n \t<li>EuroEd Ia\u0219i, 1C Florilor St. (English, French, Italian, Spanish).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"e-n-tab-content-995598475\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"e-n-tab-title-995598475\" data-tab-index=\"5\" style=\"--n-tabs-title-order: 5;\" class=\" elementor-element elementor-element-7c1470b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"7c1470b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d20f79a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d20f79a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong><u>Documents required for the application file<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\n<br>\nTo evaluate compliance with the conditions above, the application file must include:\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Formular-candidatura-SMS_lungi_outgoing.docx\">Application Form<\/a><\/strong> <em>\u2013 which will include:<\/em>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Motivation (the candidate&#8217;s mobility options, the list of courses, the reasons for participating in the selection for a study mobility at a specific university \u2013 concrete objectives pursued by the candidate and expected results);<\/li>\n \t<li>The proposed semester for the mobility;<\/li>\n \t<li>Declaration regarding the maximum number of Erasmus+ mobility months a student can benefit from during the study cycle in which they are enrolled at the time of application;<\/li>\n \t<li>Information note regarding the processing of personal data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>Curriculum Vitae (will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n \t<li>Language certificate \/ high school transcript \/ language proficiency certificate obtained at the Baccalaureate exam \/ academic record for university studies for the foreign language studied or for the study program for those studying in a foreign language (a copy will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n \t<li>Transcript of records extract for the study cycle in which the candidate is enrolled at the time of selection. <strong>This document will not be requested by the candidates<\/strong>; The Erasmus+ grant top-up also applies to students of a nationality other than Romanian, students enrolled in tuition-paying spots, and students attending part-time\/distance learning forms of education, who are selected for mobility and fall into one of the previously described categories.<\/strong>\n\n<strong>!!! Files submitted in the 2024-2025 academic year under criteria b, c, d, e, g, and h of this document, and deemed eligible, are valid for the entire duration of the study cycle in which the student is enrolled and do not need to be resubmitted during that cycle. Files submitted based on financial criteria (point f) must be submitted annually, in the study year in which the Erasmus+ mobility takes place.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>For students using sustainable means of transport \u2013 \u201egreen travel\u201d <\/strong>(bicycle, bus, car-pooling, or train), if these were used for the majority of the round-trip journey (more than 50% of the distance calculated according to the European Commission&#8217;s distance calculator), the Erasmus+ grant is supplemented as follows:\n<ul>\n \t<li><strong>The travel grant corresponding to the \u201egreen travel\u201d category is awarded <\/strong>(according to the table above);<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>The amount for a maximum of 4 additional days <\/strong>(outside the mobility period) is awarded, if applicable, for the round-trip journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>For participants with special needs<\/strong>, whose physical, mental, or health condition is such that participation in the mobility is not possible without additional support, requiring a preparatory visit for participation, or requiring a companion during the mobility, the Erasmus grant is supplemented with amounts based on the real costs principle, depending on the needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/strong>The evaluation of social scholarship files for ERASMUS+ students is carried out throughout the entire academic year at the level of the faculty where the student is enrolled.\n\n<span lang=\"EN\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/international\/programul-erasmus\/studenti\/mobilitati-de-studiu-erasmus\/#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[2] <\/a><\/strong><\/span><span>The file is submitted for only one category. This can be: (1) the first day of classes, (2) the first day of the information session for students with disabilities or the welcome session, or (3) the first day of a language course organized by the host university or another institution in the receiving country.\n\n<strong><em>End date <\/em><\/strong>corresponds to the end date of the mobility, i.e., the last day the student must be present at the host university, for example, the last day of the mandatory examination session. We recommend consulting the academic curriculum of the respective university\/universities by accessing the <em>Incoming students<\/em> section on their website(s).\n\n3. Prepare the application file. It must <strong>obligatorily<\/strong> include the following documents:\n<ul>\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaic.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Formular-candidatura-SMS_lungi_outgoing-2.docx\"><strong>Application Form<\/strong> <\/a><em>\u2013 which will include:<\/em>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Motivation (the candidate&#8217;s mobility options, the list of courses, the reasons for participating in the selection for a study mobility at a specific university \u2013 concrete objectives pursued by the candidate and expected results);<\/li>\n \t<li>The proposed semester for the mobility;<\/li>\n \t<li>Declaration regarding the maximum number of Erasmus+ mobility months a student can benefit from during the study cycle in which they are enrolled at the time of application;<\/li>\n \t<li>Information note regarding the processing of personal data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Curriculum Vitae<\/strong> (will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n \t<li>Recommendation from the PhD supervisor, in the case of doctoral students;<\/li>\n \t<li>Language certificate \/ high school transcript \/ language proficiency certificate obtained at the Baccalaureate exam \/ academic record for university studies for the foreign language studied or for the study program for those studying in a foreign language (a copy will remain in the student&#8217;s selection file);<\/li>\n \t<li>Transcript of records extract for the study cycle in which the candidate is enrolled at the time of selection. <strong>This document will not be requested by the candidates<\/strong>; instead, it will be issued by the faculty secretariat (bearing the faculty&#8217;s signature only) and attached to the file by the Erasmus coordinator;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<strong>Additional documents for students who do not hold citizenship of an EU member state:<\/strong>\n\n(e) a copy of the residence permit \u2013 students of Moldovan citizenship enrolled at UAIC \u2013 B\u0103l\u021bi and Chi\u0219in\u0103u Extensions are exempt from this requirement.\n\nAll documents will be written in Romanian, and the documents under points (a) and (b) will also be presented in the language of study of the university\/universities chosen by the candidate. <strong>Incomplete files will be rejected<\/strong>.\n\n4. If a selected participant has a physical, mental, or health-related condition that prevents them from participating in the mobility without additional financial support, the university can request a special needs grant top-up from the National Agency to cover the necessary additional costs. Participants who wish to request additional financial support for special needs must discuss these aspects with the Erasmus+ Office representatives when preparing their mobility documents.\n<br><br>\nThe documents required to request a special needs top-up are:\n<br>\n\u2013 a request addressed to the home institution specifying the mobility details and the request for a grant top-up with the total amount needed, explaining the nature of the needs, the types of planned expenses, and the corresponding amounts;\n<br>\n\u2013 a copy of the disability certificate of the participant, valid for the duration of the mobility and issued by an authorized institution;\n\n\u2013 copies of other documents supporting the participant&#8217;s request may also be attached (for example: if the request covers treatment costs, a medical referral or letter from a doctor indicating the need for treatment during the mobility should be included);\n<br><br>\nThe university will draft an official letter to the National Agency including details about the project for which the special needs top-up is requested, details about the participant&#8217;s mobility, and the request to supplement the grant with the total necessary amount.\n<br><br>\nPhotocopies of the documents submitted by the participant and the official letter are sent by the university electronically, via email, to the project expert at the National Agency. Upon receipt, the National Agency will analyze the case and send an official response to the university. If the request is approved, the National Agency will issue an amendment to supplement the funds for the project in question.\n<br>\nThe additional funds are allocated to the participant based on the financial agreement signed by the university and the participant. At the end of the mobility, the participant will provide proof of expenses incurred in the form of receipts, invoices, tickets,
